A tribute to Auntie Pauline from vice president Martin Eede.

This week we lost a much-admired lady from Dulwich Hamlet when Pauline Powell passed away unexpectedly.  Known to Gavin Rose and his assistant Junior Kadi as “Auntie Pauline” or “Mum” to the players.  Pauline and her partner Mick fulfilled the important role as “kit lady”.  Before this she had filled the same role for Wayne Burnett at Fisher Athletic.   

However, Pauline was much more to the dressing room, as her adopted names suggest, as she looked after the lads much more than just dishing out the kit.  Pauline supplied all the little additions that made the home dressing room comfortable, by including bits and pieces at her own expense.  But even more than that she brought a family atmosphere to the players. 

Her close family will miss her badly – Mick, Ray, Donna and Alfie and our thoughts will be with them. 

Thank you Pauline you will not be forgotten.
