Hamlet Home To Haringey In FA Cup
Hakan Hayrettin's side have been drawn at home to league rivals Haringey Borough in the First Qualifying Round of this year's Emirates FA Cup.
The visit from Borough will take place on Saturday 2nd September, with the kick off at 3pm. Following our relegation from the National League South last season, we enter the competition a round earlier than we have done over the last five seasons, meaning we need to come through four rounds of qualifying to reach the proper stages of the competition.
Due to this match being in a cup competition, season tickets are not valid for this game, fans will need to purchase tickets on Fanbase - https://bit.ly/3smev8i
This will be our first competitive meeting with Haringey under their current name, with the league games scheduled for November, away on White Hart Lane, and in January for the reverse game at Champion Hill.
However, we do have history against them in a previous guise, as once upon a time they were merged from Tufnell Park and Edmonton Borough, with the former playing against the Hamlet in the Isthmian League between 1919 and 1950, and were the side we beat in the final of the 1920 FA Amateur Cup final!
