MATCH PREVIEW | Dulwich Hamlet vs Chichester City
The Hamlet return to Champion Hill for the first time since our disastrous defeat to Bognor Regis Town on January 4th. This time however, it's an opportunity to kickstart a season that has shown glimpses of stumbling into life.
Bradley Quinton will take charge of the side for the 1st time at the Hill as he is still supported by striker Danny Mills.
The Hamlet will be searching for a much needed 3 points as they look to pull away from the relegation zone and avoid any form of dog fight towards the closing weeks of the season.
The Hamlet suffered a 2-0 defeat last time out against Billericay Town. It could have been a different afternoon as a refreshed Hamlet controlled much of the posession but ultimately fell to defeat thanks to 2 goals from Decarey Sheriff.
It's a first chance the Hamlet have had in front of a home crowd since the departure of Hakan Hayrettin and his management team earlier this month. A win on Saturday could put the Hamlet 6 points clear of the drop if results go their way.
When Chichester welcomed the Hamlet to Sussex earlier this season it was after the Hamlet suffered a shock 4-1 defeat to then bottom side Bowers & Pitsea. The following Tuesday night we picked up a respectable point following a 0-0 draw where former striker Oli Lynch could have scored 2 or 3 goals himself.
Chichester have started life at step 3 with relative ease and sit just 9 points outside of the play-off positions having picked up 12 wins. Their last defeat came on December 10th when they suffered a 1-0 defeat at Flamingo Park against Cray Wanderers. Since then they've secured 6 wins and a draw.
Injury news:
The Hamlet at time of writing have the same squad available to them as last Saturday. Sam German could potentially make a return to action on Saturday but he's more likely to feature against Horsham next weekend. Louis Ramsay is still a few weeks away as he recovers from a foot injury he suffered in the victory over Cray Valley (PM) just before Christmas.
