PREVIEW | Cheshunt vs Dulwich Hamlet

PREVIEW | Cheshunt vs Dulwich Hamlet

The Hamlet are back on the road tomorrow afternoon as we head to take on Cheshunt in search of our 2nd away league win of the season.

Our only victory away from Champion Hill in the league this season was at Canvey Island as an injury struck Hamlet side secured a 3-2 win. The only other win away from Champion Hill was in the FA Trophy when we defeated Dartford 1-0 at Princes Park.

Cheshunt have had major changes in the dugout since we last took them on. Craig Edwards left the club earlier this season which led to Dulwich Hamlet legend Preston Edwards to take temporary charge of the ambers. After that it was former Hampton & Richmond manager Mel Gwinnett who took permanent charge.

The ambers haven't had a league victory at Theobalds Lane since the 21st September when they defeated Hashtag United 4-3. There last victory came at the beginning of November when they brushed a struggling Bognor Regis team aside 4-0. Last weekend they drew 1-1 at Carshalton Athletic.

The Hamlet ended their recent poor run of form on Tuesday night as they secured a penalty shoot-out victory over a strong Leyton Orient side featuring some 1st team players. Jamesone Horlick saved the O's opening penalty before all 5 Hamlet penalties were executed perfectly to send the Hamlet through.

Dulwich were boosted by the return of Jordan Wynter on tuesday night as he returned to action in the London Senior Cup. Ross Marshall also played his 2nd game since returning from injury. However, Ryley Scott was forced off with a knock and will miss the trip to Cheshunt tomorrow afternoon. Louis Ramsay returned to running last night and is on track to return against Dover Athletic next weekend. Max Hudson is back in training and is in contention to feature tomorrow afternoon.
