The Hamlet return to Champion Hill following a difficult festive period where they secured 3 points against Carshalton before suffering defeats to Whitehawk and Cray Wanderers.
It's 1 win in 10 for the Hamlet who desperately need to turn their form around if they're to push on towards the play-off positions.
An injury hit Hamlet side headed to Cray Wanderers on New Years Day aiming to start 2025 with a victory. That they almost did. Luke Wanadio went close twice in the first half but it was ultimately the home side who would secure all 3 points with a strike in the 85th minute. The Hamlet were without captain Jerome Binnom-Williams among 7 other first team players who are all currently injured.
This is the 1st time Bognor Regis and the Hamlet have faced each other this season. The visitors find themselves bottom of the league and 10 points from safety as they enter the 2nd half of the season.
The Hamlet sit 6 points above the drop and 9 points off the play-offs despite a poor run of form recently. January could be make or break for their play-off ambitions. Games against Bognor, Folkestone, Billericay and Chichester City, 3 of them being played here at Champion Hill. The Hamlet will also visit Sutton Common Rovers at the end of the month in the London Senior Cup.
Injury news:
It's much of the same on the injury front with a number of the same players that missed most of the Christmas period missing this weekend. Jerome Binnom-Williams could be in line for a return and Ross Marshall is likely to feature again. Anthony Jeffrey will be asssessed by the medical team on Thursday night at training to see if he can feature. Louis Ramsay will remain out for another 6-8 weeks following a fractured foot injury he sustained against Cray Valley (PM) before Christmas.
