PREVIEW | Whitehawk vs Dulwich Hamlet | 28/12/24

We're back in action just 48 hours after our victory against Carshalton as we head to Brighton to take on Whitehawk.

The Hamlet ended a run of 7 league games without a win on Boxing Day when they defeated Carshalton Athletic thanks to a Kreshnic Krasniqi header in the first half. You can read our match report here.

The Hamlet continue to be plagued by injuries. Louis Ramsay has a fractured foot and will be out for at least 8 weeks. Ryley Scott is edging closer to action as is defender Sam German. A number of the men's squad reported to Champion Hill on Friday 27th December for treatment with the physio team and to have a recovery session in the gym.

Whitehawk managed to get Boxing Day off so have had a full week to prepare for this fixture. Last weekend they secured a 1-1 draw with Hashtag United. Charlie Walker scored a 12th minute penalty before the Tags levelled before half-time.

The Hawks last victory came against bottom side Bognor Regis Town. Goals from Charlie Walker again from the penalty spot were followed by a Callum Barlow strike just after half time before Wasiri Williams secured all 3 points with a strike in the 99th minute to win 3-2.

Whitehawk's last home victory was against big spenders Folkestone Invicta on the 30th November. Andrew Briggs scored in stoppage time to gain a valuable 3 points.

The Hamlet will need to change their away form if they're to be in with a chance of the play-offs at the end of the season. Their last victory away from home came back in September when we defeated Canvey Island 3-2. In our last 3 away games we've picked up 3 points following draws with Cheshunt, Lewes and Dartford.

After this one the Hamlet head to Flamingo Park to take on Cray Wanderers on New Years' Day.
