Dulwich Hamlet Women To Play Inaugural Match This Sunday
History will be made this Sunday at 2pm as Dulwich Hamlet Women’s FC play their first ever match against Leyton Orient
Having previously competed as AFC Phoenix, Dulwich Hamlet Women begin their preparations for their inaugural season at Champion Hill.
Jack Badu, assistant coach, said, “Dulwich Hamlet have been incredible with their support for the women's team. Over the last few months we have seen a lot of interest to the extent that we are now going to be creating a development team, with the players that don’t make the reserve team squad.
“I am personally really excited to see the women play this weekend against Leyton. If some of the football on the training ground is anything to go by, the fans are in for a treat.”
The Orient game is the first of four pre-season friendlies as the team warm up for the 2019/20 South East Premier Division.
Triallist Jasmin Gussin has been training with the club this summer. “I’ve really been enjoying the trial period so far at Dulwich Hamlet,” she said. “There’s a brilliant atmosphere and a lot of talented girls, and I am really excited to see what the season ahead will bring.”
Tickets are available on the day and will £4 for adults, £2 for concessions.
Remaining pre-season schedule, all on Sundays at 2pm:
July 28th vs AFC Wimbledon
August 4th vs Crystal Palace
