Club Announcement: A Busy Week Ahead
Thank you for your wonderful support again this season and while I wish I could say it was matched in terms of quality by our performances on the pitch it is clear to everyone why we needed the reset we are working through ahead of next season and I look forward to sharing more news on that in the coming weeks.
We’ve had a few enquiries about season ticket sales and so I wanted to respond to those and also announce a few other dates in a packed week ahead.
On TUESDAY MAY 20TH at 7.30PM we have a fundraising quiz at the clubhouse for the club’s trip to Hamburg in July which will allow us to join our friends Altona in person to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our first match. If you would like to join the quiz please email
On WEDNESDAY MAY 21ST at 6.30PM we will be opening the clubhouse for another of our highly popular retro kit sales with another release of original vintage shirts and also showing the Europa League final which kicks off at 8.00pm.
From THURSDAY MAY 22ND to SATURDAY MAY 24TH 12.00PM to 10.30PM DAILY the CAMRA Dulwich Beer Festival is back after an amazing return to Champion Hill last year.
FRIDAY MAY 23RD sees the release of the men’s season tickets for early bird sale and more information on times, pricing and women’s tickets will be sent to you ahead of the day.
And finally on SUNDAY MAY 25TH at 2.00pm our season on the pitch comes to an end at The Gallagher Stadium, Maidstone where our women’s reserves team take on Clapton CFC for the League Cup.
I hope to see you at some of these events and thank you in person again for your support.

Hamlet Comedy’s Matt Arnold Awarded Club Volunteer of the Year Award
Since it’s inception in 2019, the Hamlet Comedy Club has brought some of the biggest acts in comedy to the Football Club including names such as Mark Steel, Jo Brand, Sara Pascoe, Nish Kumar and Mark Thomas.
Starting in the downstairs bar with an audience of about 40, the night soon began selling out as soon as the tickets were released and in March 2025, the night was moved to the new much bigger top floor bar and they are now selling that out after building a loyal following.
In that time many people who have come down to the club for the comedy, have ended up watching the football on the pitch on a Saturday (including some of the acts!)
Last Thursday Hamlet Comedy founder and Dulwich Hamlet fan, Matt Arnold was awarded Club Volunteer of the Year which was presented by Chairman Ben Clasper at the end of the show.
We would like to thank Matt for creating a great night and helping raise the profile of the club within and outside football.

Our final ALTONA 93 fundraisers have been confirmed!

Club Update | 29/4/25
With last weekend’s conclusion of the league campaigns for both of our first teams we can finally stop looking over our shoulder and start to look forward to next season.
I can confirm that we have informed Brad Quinton that we will be going in a different direction with the management of the men’s team as part of a much larger reset of our football operations and that sadly we will not be appointing him and his team on a permanent basis.
We would like to thank the management team for their efforts in securing our safety at Step 3 and for staying focussed on the short-term goal of survival after our unexpected drop into the relegation battle back in January. Our position in the Isthmian Premier League was retained with two games to spare and I hope the victory against Canvey Island and the spectacular final day goals will ensure Brad is remembered fondly and positively by fans. It was mission accomplished but the new mission ahead of us is one that the club will need to lead on as we seek to avoid a repeat of our recent failures.
This, coupled with the news last week that Ryan Dempsey will be stepping down from his own role as the women’s first team manager, means we are embarking on the largest overhaul of the football side in our recent history but I am confident the research and preparatory work of the board and staff will act as a better foundation for our decisions than we have had in the past.
As Chair I will oversee the process for both teams with Brit Saylor taking the lead on the appointment of a new women’s first team manager while Liam Hickey and Nick Igoe are working on the new men’s team management. All have been involved over the past few months in the development of the new framework for the management of the football teams along with Dumebi Dumaka. Sadly, Dumebi will be stepping down from his director role with immediate effect after almost three years on the board and I would like to thank him for the work he has done in helping us design a future structure for the successful operation of the club, it is the job of any director to try to leave the club in a stronger position than they found it and he has certainly achieved that goal.
I am also pleased to let you know that after more than a year of meeting with and evaluating potential partners Liam Hickey has succeeded in bringing youth team football back to our club with the implementation of an under 18s team for the men’s side also in time for the 2025 26 season. In addition to our application for league football I am personally looking forward to the return of the FA Youth Cup competition which has been greatly missed by fans at Champion Hill.
I would like to thank everyone at the club for their hard work in preparing us for this journey and making sure that we are much better equipped to deal with changes both expected and unexpected and I look forward to a far brighter future on the pitch.
We will provide more updates on both these and some other areas over the coming weeks and for any enquiries about our men’s and women’s team management roles or the new youth team structure please contact the club via email on

Dulwich Hamlet to Face Royal Engineers in Charity Match
Dulwich Hamlet to Face Royal Engineers in Charity Match Celebrating 150th Anniversary of FA Cup triumph
In a historic nod to football's rich heritage, Dulwich Hamlet Football Club will play a charity match against the Royal Engineers AFC on Saturday 10th May 2025, at RSME No1 Ground, Kings Bastion in Gillingham.
This game commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Royal Engineers' landmark FA Cup victory—the sole triumph by a military team in the competition's history.
The Royal Engineers clinched the FA Cup in 1875, overcoming the Old Etonians in a replayed final.
The charity match, which will include a mixture of representatives from our Men’s, Women’s and Supporter’s teams will kick off at 2pm as part of the Royal Engineers’ Festival of Football.
The game will be followed by a match between the Royal Engineers first team and Old Etonians in a replay of the 1875 FA Cup final. Throughout the day, there will also be a range of family friendly events taking place.
Entry to both games and the festival of football is completely free. More information about the event can be found here.
The event will be raising funds for The Royal Engineers Association – The Sapper Charity as well as Mind North Kent.
This match also has a further significant meaning for everyone associated with Dulwich Hamlet FC. Back in 2019, club legend and super fan Mishi Morath, suffered a heart attack whilst watching the Royal Engineers play. The swift response of the Royal Engineers staff and medical team saved Mishi’s life. The plan has always been to arrange a charity game between the the Royal Engineers and Dulwich Hamlet. However, COVID put a halt to plans that were well underway.
This exciting match offer the club the opportunity to support the fundraising efforts of the Royal Engineers as well as remembering a Dulwich Hamlet great.
It promises to be great day of celebration!
