REPORT | Dulwich Hamlet 3 Welling United 1 | Isthmian League | 6/9/25

Mark Dacey’s Dulwich Hamlet bounced back from their FA Cup exit with a comfortable 3-1 victory over strugglers Welling United.
The Hamlet backed by the club's 1st ever 3,000 crowd in September took the lead after 21 minutes as Anthony Cook converted from the penalty spot. Bouncing back from last weekend’s penalty miss against Whitstable Town.
It was Amadou Kassarate who won the spot kick after a driving run forward saw him get bought down in the penalty area and Lekan Majoyegbe was given a straight red card. Cook then stepped up and slammed his penalty into the bottom corner.
Man of the Match Amadou Kassarate would get a well-earned goal with 7 minutes of the half left. Sol Baugh picked Kassarate out in the middle. He turned and fired his shot into the back of the net to put the Hamlet 2 clear at the break.
It took just 5 minutes of the 2nd half for the 10-man Wings to go close as Greg Cundle narrowly sent his shot wide of the post.
Ruben Shakpoke would half the deficit 10 minutes later who’s deflected shot beat Toby Bull in the Hamlet goal.
The men in pink & blue would secure all 3 points with 3 minutes left as Baugh dinked a cross in for Cook to slam home and send 3,120 South Londoners home happy.
