REPORT | Dulwich Hamlet vs Cray Valley (PM)

REPORT | Dartford vs Dulwich Hamlet

The Hamlet headed to Kent following our 2-2 draw with Lewes in search of 3 more valuable points.
An unchanged Hamlet side started in Kent and would almost have the lead with 3 minutes gone. Jordan Wynter knocked the ball down to Oli Lynch who saw his shot blocked by the keeper.
Two minutes later and Wanadio would almost have us ahead. Jerome Binnom-Williams played a beautiful cross-field pass which Wanadio bought down and cut inside but had his shot saved.
The first half began to quiet down but 10 minutes later Anthony Jeffrey made a driving run and unleashed a shot that went just wide of the post.
Just a minute later though and Dillon Barnes would be called into action for the first time. He made not one, not two but three vital blocks to deny Dartford the lead.
After 21 minutes though it would be Dartford who took the lead against the run of play. Samir Carruthers played the ball into Callum Jones who fired his shot into the roof of the net to put the Darts ahead.
Dartford would have the ball in the back of the net 3 minutes later but Jones strike would be ruled out for offside.
As the half time whistle approached Lynch would go close again for the Hamlet as he connected with a cross but his header went just wide.
On the stroke of half-time it would be Luke Wanadio who would fire the Hamlet deservedly level. He got the ball on the left hand side, cut in and fired his shot into the bottom corner.
It took 18 minutes for the 2nd half to fire into life and it would be Ralfi Hand who bagged his first league goal for the Hamlet. Louis Ramsay picked up a loose ball and squared it to Hand on the edge of the box who smashed his shot home before performing the perfect knee slide to celebrate.
Olly Box would go close 5 minutes later for Dartford as he broke through on goal but he fired his shot wide.
Dartford would level it against the run of play as Ramsay mis-controlled a pass allowed Box to breakthrough and put Dartford level.
Barnes would deny Dartford a winner with 5 minutes to go as both sides chased a winner.
It would finish all square in Dartford as the Hamlet picked up a 2nd 2-2 draw of the week before heading into a busy Christmas period.
