2018 Hamburg trip gets a great boost
The 'InterCity 125' campaign received a large donation on Saturday
Jack McInroy, (pictured above, photo above, courtesy of www.brixtonbuzz.com) who edits the 'Hamlet Historian' magazine handed over a cheque for a magnificent ONE THOUSAND POUNDS from the proceeds of sales of his esteemed organ.
For those of you who aren't aware, Dulwich Hamlet are planning a pre-season training camp to Germany in the summer of 2018.
It would not be possible without the hard work through this fundraising for the trip to go ahead, and the target for the appeal is approximately £8,000 to pay for the squad to travel, accommodation and associated costs.
The aim is to play a local non-league side of the Friday evening, the team will spend the Saturday training, and the highlight of the trip will be a 125th anniversary celebration match between ourselves, & our good friends from Altona 93.
The fundraising is an ongoing project, with all of the money raised being held in account by the independent "12th Man" team, to ensure it is secure and ring-fenced.
The generous donation from Jack, thanks to you all purchasing his magagazine, brings the amount raised so far to a whopping £3,192.
Still a long way to go before we reach our target, but to be around 40% of the way there less than a year after the launch of the "INTER CITY 125" campaign is nothing short of amazing...and we still have over two years to reach the final target.
