Academy Graduate Mascoll Signs for Charlton Athletic

Another Academy graduate moves into pro game!

Dulwich Hamlet are delighted to announce academy graduate Jamie Mascoll has signed for League One club Charlton Athletic.

Jamie progressed through the ASPIRE academy set up at the club to make his first-team debut as a substitute in the first round of London Senior Cup in October 2015 in a 1-0 win against Thamesmead Town.

He went on to make 18 appearances for The Hamlet, scoring one goal in a League Cup tie in October 2015 against Staines Town.

On his move into the professional game, first-team manager Gavin Rose commented:



“Myself and the management team are delighted to see Jamie earn an opportunity into professional football with Charlton Athletic.

“Having had Jamie since U15 with our Academy we have seen him develop into a first-team player and also continue his development on loan at various non-league clubs.

“On behalf of the club we wish him every success in the future.”

Jamie expressed his gratitude and thanks to the club management, staff, players and fans on his move:

“It's a dream come true for me to sign my first professional contract at Charlton Athletic Football Club.

“I would like to thank the management staff at Dulwich Hamlet for helping me develop as a player and as a person on and off the pitch over the years.

“I would also like to thank the club for the constant support over the last five years and to the amazing fans who support the club through good times and bad.

“I wish the club all the best for the season.”
