Beckenham Town 3-6 Dulwich Hamlet
A strong Hamlet side were given a very worthwhile workout by Beckenham Town before wrapping up victory late on.
A game that definitely showed off the attacking talent from both sides whilst highlighting a bit of work still to be done on the defences.
Dulwich opened the scoring early on as Xavier Vidal unleashed a left footed drive from 20 yards and Erhun Oztumer extended it as he waltzed round the keeper and found the empty net.
With Dulwich almost totally dominant it seemed only a matter of how many but against the run of play the lead was quickly gone as hesitancy at the back led to Phil Wilson upending a forward with the resultant penalty thumped home. Then almost from the restart a Town forward was left unchallenged on the edge of the box to swivel and strike home an equaliser.
The score remained 2-2 at the break although The Hamlet did strike the woodwork through Ellis Green and the keeper saved well from Erhun Oztumer after a neat interchange of passes.
It was Dulwich who struck first after half time as Billy crook struck from the edge of the box but once again Beckenham were soon level as a mistake on half way allowed a ball to be threaded behind the defence for a coolly finished equaliser.
However, it was then that Dulwich swiftly took the game away from Beckenham as two goals from Junior James and another from Nassim Dukali, all following neat passing moves around the edge of the box, added a gloss to the scoreline.
