Brentford 2-0 Dulwich Hamlet
The Youth Team bowed out of the FA Youth Cup at Griffin Park but were far from disgraced against their full time opponents.
Brentford secured victory over The Hamlet with two second half goals. In truth, they were the better side throughout as Dulwich failed to click in attack but were very resolute in defence. This ensured that Brentford had to work hard to get the breakthrough.
Courtney Senior scored both goals for Brentford, the first following up after a fine stop from Oshane Brown and the second after a well-worked corner saw him left unmarked inside the penalty area.
Dulwich failed to get into the game consistently as an attacking force although Joshua Silvera worked the Brentford defence hard all night and forced a good first half stop from Tzanev in the Brentford goal. David Bangurah also had a good first half chance after a Ramell Lake cross but couldn't hit the target.
Dulwich were restricted even more after half time and despite trying to freshen things up after half time once Brentford made the breakthrough on 65 minutes they never looked like being pulled back. The second goal on 75 minutes sealed the fate of the youngsters who can be proud of their efforts.
