Bromley 1-1 Dulwich Hamlet - Dulwich win 6-5 on penalties
Dulwich claimed the inaugural Glyn Beverly Memorial Trophy after Amadou Tangara saved 3 spot kicks in the shoot out.
Bromley quickly pressed Dulwich back and Preston Edwards had to make an early save from a header by Holland, whilst Raymond placed a free kick just wide. However, from their first real attack Dulwich took the lead in the 9th minute. Ashley Carew clipped a lovely pass over the top that sent Nyren Clunis in on goal and he comfortably beat Gregory.
Porter went close to an equaliser for the home side when he fired just over, but Byron Lawrence went equally close for The Hamlet.
It was Porter who was denied by the offside flag as he stooped to head home a Bugiel knock down just past the half hour. With half time approaching a Dan Johnson header was tipped on to the bar by Preston Edwards and the same player saw Edwards stop his effort two minutes from half time.
Half Time 0-1
Bromley stepped up the pressure at the start of the second half and Porter forced another save from Edwards nine minutes after the resumption. Just after the hour, Michael Chambers manged to deflect an Okoye header that seemed destined for the back of the net, for a corner.
The pressure was building on The Hamlet and they finally broke with 11 minutes remaining when a Taylor cross shot was unluckily turned into the net by a covering defender. Porter then found the net with effort with 7 minutes remaining , but it was again ruled out for offside .
However, Dulwich began to reassert some control and a precise chip from Gavin Tomlin was brilliantly saved by Gregory, whilst Nyren Clunis saw his effort scrambled away from off the line with virtually the final kick.
Full Time 1-1
With a trophy at stake, it was straight to penalties. Carew, Green and Lawrence scored emphatically scored emphatically before Tomlin saw his saved. A trialist scored to leave Roger Johnson with the chance to win it fro Bromley but Tangara saved.
Okuonghae then had his saved but Tangara saved from Higgs. Ferguson and Clunis scored before Tangara stopped from Goodwin to give The Hamlet a 6-5 win on penalties.
