Carshalton Athletic 2-1 Dulwich Hamlet
An experimental line up was beaten in anew entertainment and competitive game.
Dulwich gave game time to a number of players that have been on trial over the pre season mixed with some youth team graduates.
New keeper Valerie made a first start with Dereece Thompson in an unfamiliar right back role. Leon Fisher was given more game time, with Marc Weatherstone captaining the side and Josh Fernandes given game time. Only Ashley Carew & Roman Michael-Percil featured from last season's side.
Dulwich took the lead in the 18th minute when Roman Michael-Percil created space on the left and thumped a 20 yard effort past the keeper.
Some uncertain goalkeeping from Valerie saw the home side strike the bar before they levelled right on half time; this time the keeper was rooted to his line when he perhaps should have come and Bradford nodded home.
Half Time 1-1
Carshalton grabbed what turned out to be the winner in the 58th minute when the ball was threaded through to Mickel Miller who ignored the offside appeals to round Valerie and score.
Dulwich had a number of chances to level amongst a raft of substitutions with Rik Davis unable to convert on a couple of occasions when he had created promising positions.
Final Score 2-1
