Chairman's update for Season Ticket Holders: July 12th 2021

Chairman's update for Season Ticket Holders: July 12th 2021

Ben Clasper updates Season Ticket holders on the latest developments as we kick off our pre-season.

Season Ticket Sales

Thank you to everyone who has already renewed their season tickets, we now know that our season kicks off at Champion Hill on Saturday August 14 with the men’s first home National League fixture against Chippenham Town so there is still plenty of time to renew if you have not yet done so.

Season Ticket Updates

Thanks also for the responses to our season ticket holder survey, we have reviewed all of the responses and there will be a series of updates coming before the season kicks off but we are pleased to be able to already confirm the following:

A return to the much-loved physical season ticket
Use of any entrance including the main door
A return of the bar discount for season ticket holders
Introduction of reserved seating for those less able to stand

Men’s Friendly v Millwall U23 on Thursday July 15 at 7.30pm

This is our only fixture before the expected change to the covid-19 restrictions if the government moves the country from step 3 to step 4 as planned on July 19. We have agreed with Southwark Council that we will operate this game under our previously approved risk assessment which we used for the women’s games. This will mean capping the attendance at 600 and only using the outside areas. Our average attendance for midweek pre-season games before the pandemic was around 600 so we hope for minimal disruption before restrictions are lifted. A reminder that friendlies are not included in the season ticket and tickets are now on sale: BUY HERE

This advanced notice to season ticket holders will give you the ability to purchase before any general announcements are made. Please note that as our current protocols do not allow the use of the indoor bar we were happy to allow the weekly pub quiz to continue to use that space on that evening as a separate event.

Expectations for matches after July 19

Our current information is that we will be able to operate without restrictions should the government announce the move to step four after which we will work with Southwark Council on new risk assessments and match planning. We hope to return to normal as quickly as possible but rest assured our priority is your safety and so please bear with us if the return to full re-opening need to be phased. If restrictions are not lifted in full on July 19 we will then revisit the process for providing priority booking windows for season ticket holders.
