Championship Champagne on ice after Dulwich Hamlet youth go down to defeat
Dulwich Hamlet's battle for their Football Conference Youth Alliance divisional title must go on after the Aspire Academy youngsters lost on Monday.
The games must surely be taking their toll as the ASPIRE Academy coached Dulwich Hamlet Under 18s travelled to Three Bridges for their sixth game in eight days. Victory would have ensured a third straight FCYA Divisional title but it was not to be as the hosts snatched a 2-1 win to keep the destination of the title on tenterhooks. Dulwich's goal came from Cristian Bucin.
However a 3-4 defeat for Crystal Palace FA at home to Charlton Athletic Trust means that only Fulham (Sedgehill) can now pip Dulwich Hamlet for the title. The Youth Team have three games left to pick up that vital win that win secure the silverware. These start on Wednesday with an away game against Millwall (Lions) at Coldharbour Leisure Centre in Eltham before games away to Phoenix Sports on Friday and at home to Crystal Palace FA on Wednesday week.
