CHIPSTEAD 0-1 DULWICH HAMLET
Dulwich returned to top spot with a hard-fought win at Chipstead
On a pitch in excellent condition throughout despite the incessant rain, one slick move was enough to secure another 3 points for The Hamlet.
Dulwich attacked against the wind in the first half and whilst always on top they rarely threatened a goal; the closest being a low drive from Luke Hickie.
However, it took just 47 seconds of the second half to take the lead. Erhun Oztumer took the ball through the midfield and passed to the left where Ellis Green delivered a pinpoint cross on to the head of the on-rushing Daniel Carr who netted his 13th goal in 10 games.
The rest of the game was scrappy as conditions worsened with driving wind and rain but it still required a couple of smart stopsstops from Phil Wilson to see Dulwich home safely.
