Chipstead Friendly - Club Statement

Following recent comments from Chipstead Manager, Simon Colbran, the club would like to set the record straight.

The club is very disappointed that its integrity, and that of its officials, has been questioned by Simon Colbran, manager of Chipstead, in his comments to the Surrey Mirror newspaper.

As a result, we believe that we have no alternative other than to release the relevant part of an email received from Chipstead FC on Sunday evening which stated:

"I have been informed by the manager that they will not be able to play the game on Tuesday, as he is unable to field a team."

This leaves no doubt that the reasons given by the club were entirely as previously published.
