City slickers in the country!
The Hamlet were well represented at the Lambeth Country Show over the weekend.
For the second year in succession, following on from the Dulwich Festival in May, the Dulwich Hamlet Supporters Trust had a stall at this massive community event at Brockwell Park.
Despite the somewhat out of the way location on the periphery of the stalls, the Trust volunteers were able to showcase our Club, as well as collect hundreds upon hundreds of email addresses in a 'pair of free tickets' offer to new & lapsed fans, to sample an early season match at Champion Hill, thanks to the generousity of the Dulwich Hamlet Football Club Committee in offering the tickets.
Said Football Committee community spokesperson MISHI MORATH (also recently elected to the Dulwich Hamlet Supporters Trust Board):
"It was a scheme initiated last season, when the Trust approached the Club for the tickets offer. And we were more than happy to work with them with this great giveaway that will, hopefully, attract even more new fans, before the proposed development plans come to fruition, and we can then crack on with more community ideas in a bigger & better stadium that will be able to sustain the Club, meaning we can work on even more wonderful community initiatives."
