Midfielder to rejoin Hampton & Richmond Borough

The club can this afternoon confirm that midfielder Sam Deadfield has left the club by mutual consent, and has re-signed for his former club Hampton & Richmond Borough.

The 25-year-old left the Beavers to join the Hamlet in the summer having played almost 70 league games for Gary McCann's side. Under Gavin Rose and Paul Barnes, Sam appeared 15 times in league and cup, with one assist against Welling United.

Having started the majority of games at the beginning of the campaign, Sam picked up an injury at Chippenham in September which kept him out for a few games, and upon his return found his game time limited. His final appearance came in our defeat on the road at Havant & Waterlooville on November 12th.

On Sam's departure, Paul Barnes said, "Sam has been brilliant in his attitude both as a person and player, very professional and someone whom I have the utmost respect for.

Everyone wishes him and his family the very best for the future and he is someone that can always give me a call if ever he needs anything in the future. Football often has challenges that don't allow for things to work out how you first set out and we acknowledge that and depart with a mutual respect."
