Directions for tomorrow night...

It's been a few seasons since we've travelled to Merstham, so here's some help for you

Merstham is actually one of our easier away matches to get, not being too far from Merstham railway station, with the walk being an easy one, with no steep inclines.

They play at the Moatside Stadium, Weldon Way, Merstham. If driving it’s the postcode RH1 3QB that you need to tap into your sat navs.
Merstham Football Club is signposted from the main A23 London Road.
For those who are planning to go to the match by public transport there are two easy routes you can follow from London.
The London Victoria service, which you can also board at Clapham Junction, runs three times an hour, with your best choices probably being the 17:21 departure (arrives 17:49); The 17:49 gets to Merstham at !8:24 & the 18:19 pulls in at 18:53. The last possible direct train from Victoria, to make sure of kick off would be the 18:49, which arrives 19:20; & that service leaves Clapham Junction at 18:57; & East Croydon at 19:08.
From London Bridge services are approximately half-hourly. And these can also be boarded at Norwood Junction & East Croydon. We would suggest one of the following:
The 17:32 from London Bridge gets to Merstham at 18:05; followed by the 17:59 that pulls in at 18:30. Then the last one that’s practical for kick off, especially if it’s delayed by a few minutes, would be the 18:26, which arrives at 19:02. There is also the 18:55, but this gets to Merstham station only ten minutes before kick off, which is cutting it rather fine.

The ground itself is about half a mile from the station, using the following directions: Station: Merstham ½m. Left out of station into Station Road South, left into School Hill, under bridge and becomes Bletchingley Road, right into Weldon Way and ground is on right.

Please note: The Merstham clubhouse is situated outside the turnstiles, so if you would like a pre-match drink there do not enter the ground first.

For the return journey home, back to Transpontine country, if you leave sharpish, you make just make the 21:41 service to London Bridge, which arrives there at 22:22. The next one after that is also a London Bridge service, at 22:10; getting to the terminus at 22:52. That is the last direct London Bridge train. This is swiftly followed by the London Victoria one, via Clapham Junction, which gets to central London at 22:50.
The final trains, both to Victoria, leave at 22:42 & 23:41.

Hopefully these directions will help you all, and we have a good turn out of fans cheering on Gavin & his team.

Trains times take from the National Rail website.
