Dulwich Hamlet 0-0 Hendon
Dulwich drew a blank in front of goal again despite dominating possession against fellow high flyers Hendon in front of another big crowd of 1056.
This was a game in which Dulwich dominated possession but, with the build up play methodical but lacking an injection of pace, they were unable to break down a resolute Hendon side.
Dulwich could have grabbed the lead within the first 15 seconds as Xavier Vidal found Shawn McCoulsky and, when McNamara saved his shot, Nyren Clunis headed over.
McNamara was tested again in the 4th minute by a Kershaney Samuels shot. He spilled the ball but was rescued by his defence who hacked the loose ball to safety.
It was all Dulwich at this stage and, in the 8th minute, Xavier Vidal embarked on a fine run that looked to be taking him clear when he was halted by a crude challenge from behind. To everybody's surprise the referee decided that the defender had played the ball.
Vidal then tested McNamara from distance and the keeper once again couldn't save cleanly but again his defenders bailed him out.
Hendon's dangerous forwards were being well contained by Pinnock & Forbes and the former did well to halt the dangerous Leon Smith. Minutes later it was Oshane Brown who had to race out to clear as Smith looked to latch on to a long ball.
Bagasan Graham had a couple of sights of goal but his shots were weak and didn't rest McNamara whilst, after good work from Graham on the left & a knock down from Vidal at the far post, Nyren Clunis had his effort blocked.
With 5 minutes remaining to the break, Lee O'Leary wasted a free header from a corner for the visitors.
Half Time 0-0
The start of the second half was low key before Ashley Carew had a shot selected over and Ethan Pinnock placed a header wide from a corner.
At the other end, Leon Smith had three chances. The first he was crowded out & the second he shot across the face of goal. He then fired wide after a mistake by Bagasan Graham.
With 20 minutes remaining, Shawn McCoulsky latched on to a blocked shot and fired home but was adjudged offside.
The 75th minute saw a flurry of action. Oshane Brown produced a fine low save from a Sam Murphy shot and at the other end McNamara thwarted McCoulsky.
Despite their best efforts and much good football the stalemate couldn't be broken with Oshane Brown preserving a point for the Hamlet with a fine stoppage time save from a Lee O'Leary shot.
