This was a game that Dulwich will be pleased to have survived without losing following Kenny Beaney's sending off, and the subsequent penalty save from Preston Edwards.
The game was slow to get going and it took 12 minutes before the first chance arrived. Nyren Clunis and Reise Allassani combined, but with Reise racing on goal he was hauled down by Jeremy Arthur. The defender was cautioned and the free kick from Ashley Carew was tipped over by Williams in the Met goal. From the resulting corner, Rickie Hayles header was cleared off the line.
With a quarter of an hour played, Ashley Carew threaded a superb ball through to Sanchez Ming and his cross found Reise Allassani whose point blank effort was smothered on the line by Williams. Five minutes later Nyren Clunis went close as he curled an effort wide after running at the defence.
The first time the Dulwich defence was stretched came when Macklin got behind Quade Taylor and forced a corner but Dulwich were quickly back on the attack as Nathan Green produced a terrific cross that Kenny Beaney just couldn't stretch enough to turn in.
The Met then went close when James fired just wide, and then a mistake by Michael Chambers was seized upon but the effort went just wide. Nathan Green then saw another dangerous cross go unrewarded, before right on half time Mummery struck the underside of the bar.
Half Time 0-0
The second half was just five minutes old when Kenny Beaney was adjudged to have handled an effort from Robinson, following a goalmouth scramble. The decision looked harsh but when Macklin stepped up to the spot, Preston Edwards sprung high to his left to produce a magnificent save.
The Met now started to dictate play but the Dulwich defence, marshalled by the outstanding Rickie Hayles, managed to repel their attacks. In fact, despite not seeing as much of the ball, Dulwich still had the clearer efforts on goal with both Allassani and Clunis forcing good saves from Williams.
The Met Police still looked dangerous as they went forward but did not seriously test Preston Edwards and, in fact, Dulwich could have stolen the points when Sanchez Ming took too long to get a shot away following Williams only mistake.
