Dulwich Hamlet 0-0 Norwich City XI
Despite the lack of goals this was a thoroughly entertaining encounter with lots of slick passing football played.
Dulwich fielded a couple of further new faces with Alvaro Pereira in goal and Rafael Cavalado playing wide. Pereira put in a promising performance between the sticks with his assured handling, whilst Cavalado also showed well before succumbing to an injury late in the first half.
Both teams committed to attacking footbal but found all the keepers in good form. Norwich changed their entire line up at half time as the Hamlet drip fed their substitutions.
Dulwich came closest in the second half when Danny Carr struck a fierce shot against the post whilst Norwich were thwarted by a block on the line by Marc Weatherstone,
Both full backs for The Hamlet, Sanchez Ming & Nathan Green, managed to be attacking threats whilst also being strong in defence, whilst Sandy Cunningham was perpetual motion but lacked composure when chances arrived.
Across the park the new look line up seem to possess a more physical edge that is being allied to the slick passing.
Weatherstone and Chambers looked solid at the back and Carr did a lot of good things that should lead to the arrival of goals imminently.
In addition, both Drage and Carew have not yet seen action.
Overall, The Hamlet will be pleased with this performance which augers well for the season as they put together a number of slick passing movements that are the trade mark of the management.
