Dulwich Hamlet 0-1 Bognor Regis Town

Dulwich Hamlet 0-1 Bognor Regis Town

Dulwich turned in a below par performance to lose their unbeaten home league record.

In front of a crowd of over one thousand, The Hamlet never really got going and can have no complaints about the result.

It took Dulwich six minutes before they were seen as an attacking force. Xavier Vidal played Shawn McCoulsky through but he couldn't lift the ball over the advancing Winterton. Bagasan Graham then produced an excellent cross from the right but there was nobody in the middle.

With 13 minutes played a cross to the far post was headed back by Jason Prior & Ollie Pearce headed over from only a few yards out. He will be glad that the Assistant had flagged for offside.

Bognor had the upper hand as they pressed hard from the front although Oshane Brown comfortably dealt with what little threat there was. At the other end Winterton was equally untroubled.

Half Time 0-0

Within a minute of the restart Kershaney Samuels was given a sight of goal on the left but delayed and failed to get a shot away.

On 49 minutes Oshane Brown let a routine shot slip from his grasp but recovered to save. However, within a minute they were behind.

A cross from the Dulwich left wasn't dealt with and Doug Tuck, unmarked on the edge of the penalty area, controlled and fired past Brown.

The game should have been over 2 minutes later as Ashley Carew passed back to Brown without looking and so wasn't aware of a Bognor forward who was standing in the penalty area. Oshane Brown rushed from his line to save and Terrell Forbes produced a brilliant diving header to clear the follow up off the line.

Bognor's Dan Sackman then sliced his clearance from a Bagasan Graham cross and was relieved to see it clear the bar.

However, Dulwich really struggled to find any rhythm and but for outstanding saves from Oshane Brown could have slipped to a larger defeat. Even when Brown threw the ball straight to a Bognor player he got back to make a fine stop.

All that Dulwich could muster was a solitary effort from Kershaney Samuels that comfortably cleared the bar.
