DULWICH HAMLET 0-2 BOGNOR REGIS TOWN
Dulwich slipped to a third consecutive loss in a match where they failed to establish their usual passing rhythm and were comfortably beaten.
The visitors held the upper hand from the outset and came close in only the 2nd minute as Chico Ramos had to clutch a free header from a corner. On 7 minutes it took good defending from Mathieu Boyer to keep the scores level.
Therefore, it came as no surprise when Bognor took the lead on 15 minutes as a low cross from the Dulwich left was swept home by Ollie Pearce.
Dulwich came close to an equaliser a minute later as a Nyren Clunis cross was deflected just wide and from the resulting corner Ellis Green 's shot from the edge of the box was just too high.
Bognor soon returned to the ascendancy and it too two good saves from Chico Ramos to prevent the lead being increased. Both sides then had penalty appeals turned down as, first Kevin James was bundled over and then Marc-Anthony Okoye eased Pearce off the ball.
It was Tommy Kavanagh who was close to a debut goal as his well struck shot was just off target.
Half Time 0-1
Dulwich opened the second half brighter and Kavanagh had a shot blocked and substitute Jordan Clarke almost equalised as his terrific run saw him thwarted by the keeper with the ball being hacked away from in front of the line. However, the visitors always seemed to be in control without really forcing Chico Ramos into serious action.
Unfortunately, from one cross Chico Ramos was very clearly fouled as he punched clear but inexplicably not only did the official not give a foul but also allowed play to continue with the stricken keeper on the floor.
It was very evident that despite continuing Ramos wasn't fully fit and unable to use his right arm and this probably had a bearing on the second goal. A cross from the right saw Ramos stay on his line and Dan Thomson had the simple task of heading home.
Final Score 0-2
