With Ibrahim Kargbo sidelined for a number of weeks with the injury he sustained in midweek, Michael Chambers was forced into an unfamiliar midfield position.
Dulwich flew out of the blocks and Nathan Green fired just over in the 2nd minute. However, Hendon quickly took a grip on the game and started to dictate the play, with Spencer McCall finding pockets of space from which to promput his team.
Karl Oliyide was also finding success against Sanchez Ming and, from his 12th minute cross, Muir somehow shot wide from point blank range. Two minutes later Oliyide put in another cross that Casey McLaren met with a free header 10 yards out but Preston Edwards flew to his left to keep it out.
Kadell Daniel came close for Dulwich in the 16th minute as he turned inside and let fly with a left footed effort that swerved just wide, with Hendon keeper Laurencin so fooled by the deviation of the ball that he was moving the wrong way. Kenny Beaney then broke into the box, chested down a cross from Nyren Clunis but saw his effort hacked off the line.
Following those efforts from The Hamlet the visitors regained the initiative. Da Costa had an effort blocked and Mark Weatherstone had to clear another dangerous cross from Oliyide.
With the match drifting towards the break, Hendon seized on an error to take the lead. Kenny Beaney dwelt too long on the edge of the box and, was tackled. The ball broke to Niko Muir who swepted it past Preston Edwards.
Half Time 0-1
Hendon maintained their ascendancy after the break and added a second just 3 minutes into the second half. Mark Weatherstone gave away a free kick in a central position from which the ball was passed down the side of the wall toLuke Tingey. His shot took a deflection ygat took the ball past Preston Edwards.
Unsurprisingly Hendon now set up in a solid formation and challenged Dulwich to break them down; a challenge that was beyond them. Despite some good football there was no penetration to Dulwich's attacks, with Laurencin largely untroubled in the visitors goal.
At the other end, a fine dining save low to his right by Preston Edwards prevented a shot by Casey McLaren from resulting in a 3rd goal
With 17 minutes remaining, Dulwich were desperately unlucky not to get back into the contest. Substitute Alex Teniola turnied well and curled an effort past Laurencin from 18 yards Howrver, with the kerper well beaten, the ball bounced back into play off the inside of the post. It was as close as The Hamlet would come.
Hendon defended resolutely against the rather toothless Dulwich attack and comfortably booked their place in the mext round.
