Dulwich Hamlet 0-2 Hythe Town

Dulwich Hamlet 0-2 Hythe Town

Dulwich surrendered their unbeaten home record to a very physical Hythe Town side.

Two second half goals allowed Hythe Town to leave Champion Hill with all 3 points. However, the game was far from without controversy.

Hythe collected bookings at regular intervals in their quest to keep The Hamlet at bay. With Josh Turner joining the long list of injured players it was left to Peter Adeniyi to move to centre half.

A first half in which Dulwich made all the running ended at 0-0 with Erhun Oztumer being denied a goal when his short squirmed from the grasp of keeper Dean Ruddy but the assistant was behind play and unable to give the goal.

As the second half wore on Hythe came intop the game more and took the lead when Craig Thompson was given too much freedom to head home from a cross after a short corner.

The points were sealed close to time with a spectacular 25 yard volley from Nick Barnes.
