Gavin Rose gave a start to Charlton loanee Chris Millar and restored Ibra Sekajja to the starting XI, with Danny Carr & Ibrahim Kargbo dropping to the bench, in the only changes from the victory at Grays.
Dulwich couldn't have got off to a worse start as they went behind after only 3 minutes. A corner was poorly defended and left Reece Beckles-Richards with a simple chance that he gleefully accepted.
Chris Millar had a chance to level just three minutes later when Ibra Sekajja released him in behind the defence but his effort was blocked by Gore as he raced off his line.
Tanashe Abrahams blazed over for the visitors after good play from Beckles-Richards, whilst Dumebi Dumaka couldn't get a shot away when well placed, before he levelled in the 21st minute.
A looping cross from the left was brilliantly headed into the corner of the net; Dumaka having to generate all the power on the header himself.
However, Wingate were not deterred from looking for more goals and Abrahams went close with a free kick, whilst Beckles-Richards had an effort blocked.
At the other end, Ashley Carew had a free kick saved, and Ibra Sekajja volleyed over when well-placed after good play on the right from Chris Millar and Nyren Clunis. Alert defending from Vilcu for the visitors denied Dumaka and, from the resulting corner, Matt Drage saw his header cleared off the line.
However, with 45 minutes up, Wingate were given the chance to go ahead from the penalty spot. Rob Laney was played in behind the Dulwich defence and Matt Drage, in trying to retrieve the situation, was adjudged to have bundled him over.
Wingate captain Steve Wales stepped up but his penalty was brilliantly saved by Preston Edwards diving low to his left. Immediately following their reprieve Dulwich had a chance of their own but Gore tipped a header by Matt Drage over the bar.
Half Time 1-1
The second half saw early chances at a premium, with a shot from Millar that was too high the only early effort. Their efforts to take control of proceedings were certainly not helped when Dumaka had to be replaced but Dulwich were presented with a gilt-edged chance to go ahead on the hour.
Good play on the right saw Dumaka's replacement, Danny Carr, tripped as he tried to open up space for a shot. Carr grabbed the ball to take the resulting spot kick, even though Ashley Carew was on the field, but his weak effort was saved by Gore.
Within two minutes Dulwich thought they should have had another spot kick when Nathan Green was upended in the box but the referee was unmoved.
Wingate also felt aggrieved when Michael Chambers appeared to shove off Beckles-Richards on the edge of the penalty area when the forward seemed to have a clear run on goal.
Despite Dulwich enjoying the vast majority of possession, they struggled to impose themselves without the physical presence of Dumaka and the closest they came to a goal was when Wingate defender, Luke Ifill, almost put through his own goal 18 minutes from time.
Rhys Murrell-Williamson wasted a good late opportunity and Kenny Beaney had an effort blocked but Wingate's defence covered well and limited the home side's efforts, whilst poor final passes also wasted a number of good openings.
Final Score 1-1
