Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man launch & Meet The Manager

Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man launch & Meet The Manager

First Team boss Gavin Rose has pledged his support for the fan-led "Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man" by speaking at an official launch meeting today.

With people signing pledges & coins starting to drop into the matchday collection bucket, the "Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man" scheme is springing to life.

Fans were filling in forms & dropping coins into the box, despite the low crowd, at home match, the League Cup tie against Herne Bay. And the organisors are hoping that many more do so at the forthcoming matches.

Shaun Dooley told Hamlet Pitchero:
"We're only at the 'little acorn' stage, so to speak. But it really warmed the cockles to see supporters throwing in a few coins the other night. It won't be long before we can start handing over a small amount to Gavin to boost his weekly budget, & help toward our goal of promotion. The Club owner Nick McCormack has set his budget in the summer, if he sticks to that then we can all pull together & muck in too".

Another "Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man" volunteer, Neil Cole told us:
"We will have fliers out for people to take away, or fill in on the spot, at Three Bridges on Saturday, so supporters can pay direct from their bank account, either weekly, or monthly. whatever suits their pockets. Yes, we'd like big donations, but we're more after every fan who can afford a pound or two. The price of a beer a week, or something simple like that. You probably won't even notice it, but it could have a huge effect on Gavin & the team he can put out."

The public launch with Gavin Rose taking pride of place at the top table, alongside the supporters behind the "Dulwich Hamlet 12th Man" idea, will be after today's home match with Eastbourne Town in the Boardroom at 6.00pm.

Gavin will offer his backing for the campaign, & will be there, also, to answer any questions you may throw at him...so make a date of it in your diary now, have a pint or two after the match, & come along!
