Two goals from Jerome Walker saw The Hamlet record a comfortable win against opposition that rarely threatened.

Despite being somewhat short of their best, Dulwich were far too strong for a Hanwell Town side that had one eye on their FA Vase tie to be played on Saturday.

Dulwich made a sloppy start to the game and a poor pass from Mathieu Hoyer almost gifted a goal to the visitors but fortunately Connor Duffy failed to hit the target. Eleven minutes in and Dulwich took the lead. A cross from Xavier Vidal looked routine for the keeper but under no pressure he dropped it and Jerome Walker swept the ball home.

The game was generally scrappy and the Dulwich forwards failed to capitalise on the visitors high line in defence as their poorly timed runs or delays to passes saw them regularly offside. However, Abdul Mansaray did get clear on goal but with the keeper in no man's land he wasted the opportunity.

Jerome Walker beat his full back all ends up and his cross was perfectly delivered but found no forwards in the box to get on the end of it.

The second half opened with Dulwich in the ascendancy and seven minutes in Walker doubled the lead as he received a pass and cut in from the right. His left foot shot lacked power but slipped under the diving keeper and nestled in the net.

The visitors threw on their first choice forward pair but The Hamlet controlled the remainder of the game as Peter Adeniyi and Marc-Anthony Okoye were solid at the back.

Gerry Gonnella completed an impressive 30 minutes in his comeback and he used the ball well including creating a chance for Abdul Mansaray whose shot was well saved.
