Dulwich Hamlet 2-0 Tonbridge Angels
Another 3 points and 2nd consecutive clean sheet was secured by a first half Ashley Carew penalty and a goal on the stroke of half time by Omar Koroma
Dulwich played into a strong breeze in the first half and it was Tonbridge who were on top early on. The first chance fell to Tonbridge in the 4th minute as the usually reliable Frazer Shaw left his header back to Phil Wilson short. However, Flavio Tavares could only put his effort wide.
Dee Okojie went close with an 11th minute shot into the side netting, although Phil Wilson had the effort covered. Tom Parkinson then headed over when well placed before Dulwich took the lead much against the run of play.
Good play from Kevin James saw him thread a pass to Jordan Hibbert who turned inside the box and was brought down by Nathan Campbell. Ashley Carew despatched the penalty low to the keeper's right.
Dulwich were now able to control the game more effectively and Omar Koroma was just too high with a flicked effort from a Kevin James corner. He thwn had another effort blocked after good work on the right by the impressive Michael Abnett.
Tonbridge still looked dangerous and Phil Wilson had to race out of his area to clear a through ball, whilst Terrell Forbes and Ethan Pinnock saw to it that Phil Wilson was largely untroubled by clearing up any threats at the back.
As half time approached Jack Dixon had a long range effort pushed out by Hadler and Terrell Forbes got his head to an Okojie effort that was heading on goal.
As 45 minutes were up, good work on the right by Jordan Hibbert saw the ball arrive at the feet of Omar Koroma in the six yard box and he controlled well and slotted home.
Half Time 2-0
It was Tonbridge who were again quicker out of the blocks at the start of the second half and Ethan Pinnock had to be alert to clear in the opening minute.
Dulwich came close to grabbing a third goal in the 52nd minute as Nyren Clunis shot narrowly wide from a Frazer Shaw cross from the left.
The Hamlet seemed to be content to sit on their lead and should have finished the game as a contest with 18 minutes remaining when Harry Ottaway somehow failed to put away an Albert Jarrett cross with the goal gaping. Kevin James then went close from an Albert Jarrett free kick before Tonbridge had their best spell of the game as The Hamlet sat deep.
Phil Wilson was called into action as he saved with his legs from an Alex Teniola shot and Tom Parkinson headed just over from a well flighted cross from the right by James Folkes.
With seven minutes remaining Tonbridge went even closer as a cross by Dee Okojie was met at the far post by the head of left back Jack Parter but Ethan Pinnock hooked his header off the line.
Five minutes from time Tonbridge thought they should have had a penalty as Okojie tumbled into the area under a challenge from Frazer Shaw. However, the referee deemed that the foul had occurred outside the penalty area and the resulting free kick was cleared.
