The Hamlet produced an impressive performance to secure their passage into the next round of the Buildbase FA Trophy where they will meet Wingate & Finchley on 15 December.
Dulwich opened very brightly and could have been in front in only the third minute when Nyren Clunis was set free inside the penalty area. His shot was pushed aside by Wilks into the path of Gavin Tomlin who steered it home, but was thwarted by the Assistant's flag.
However, a minuet later Dulwich were in front.when an Ashley Carew delivered a free kick to the far post, Michael Chambers knocked it back across goal and Nathan Green touched it over the line.
Welling should have leveled the score in the 12th minute when Mills was released into space but he delayed his shot and Michael Chambers deflected his effort over the bar.
However, Welling were level in the 17th minute when Richard Orlu was left unmarked at a corner and his volley beat Preston Edwards despairing dive .
The game flowed from end to end without any clear cut chances until the 39th minute when Nathan Green and Michael Chambers again caused problems for the visitors defence, but this time Green's back heel was cleared off the line.
Half Time 1-1
Welling went close at the start of the second half when Kiernan got in to a good shooting position but was thwarted by Magnus Okuonghae. The Dulwich captain was then fortunate not to receive a second yellow card for a foul on L'Ghoul and Agyemang fired the resulting free kick too high.
The Dulwich defence came under a lot of pressure but held out against a lot of pressure and howls from the visitors fans and players when Toure and Mills came together in the box.
Nyren Clunis wasted a good chance when he needed too many touches before Dipo Akinyemi steered home the winner with 15 minutes to play. Sanchez Ming overlapped on the right and his low cross to the far post found Akinyemi.
Nyren Clunis had a further opportunity as Dulwich managed the closing stages well, taking the pace out of the game and ensuring there would be no way back for the visitors.
Final Score 2-1
