DULWICH HAMLET 2-2 ENFIELD TOWN
A controversial refereeing decision saw Dulwich drop two vital points in their quest for a play off place.
The game got off to a slow start with only a robust challenge by Jordan Lockie on Dean Lodge straight from the kick off to talk about in the first 5 minutes.
Dulwich suffered an early blow as right back Mathieu Boyer limped off after only 8 minutes to be replaced by Billy Crook and the home side were distinctly second best before they finally managed to string a 29th minute move together that saw them grab the lead.
Erhun Oztumer finally found some space and his exquisite pass inside the central defenders was swept home first time by Dean Lodge.
However, The Hamlet failed to build on this lead and, when the defence failed to deal with a free kick into the box a minute from the break, Jamie Richards scuffed a shot across the static Tim Brown and inside the far post.
The visitors must have thought they would go in level at the break but were stunned when from a corner the ball fell to Dean Lodge who passed to Peter Adeniyi on the right side of the penalty area. He stepped inside and unleashed a stunning left footed shot into the far top corner. A truly stunning goal and his first of the season.
Half Time 2-1
Three minutes into the second half Erhun Oztumer was played through to the right of goal but was denied by a great block.
The game then settled into a pattern similar to the first half. Good play on the right by Town's Corey Whitely failed to find its intended target and Lewis Gonsalves foiled Richrds before another cross from Whitely was just too high for Richards.
With 15 minutes remaining, Kevin James found Erhun Oztumer on the run but he lifted his shot both over visiting keeper Imber and the bar. Two minutes later a cross from the left found the head of the diminutive midfielder but Imber brilliantly touched it over.
With 9 minutes left, Tim Brown in the Hamlet goal collected the ball and walked to the edge of the box to clear. As he looked for options oilfield, the referee decided to award the visitors a free kick for time wasting and booked the keeper. The ball was touched to Bradley Quinton who rifled the ball into the top corner.
Dulwich pushed forward in search of a winner but could only muster a blocked Oztumer shot and a Vidal effort that was comfortably saved.
