With Michael Chambers having sustained an injury, Quade Taylor stepped in, but Marc Weatherstone was passed fit to play and Dumebi Dumaka returned on the bench.

Dulwich did not settle well despite an early run down the left from Nathan Green and they fell behind in the ninth minute, Matt Drage conceded a free kick over 30 yards out and Luke Summerfield stepped up to strike a fantastic wind assisted free kick to Preston Edwards right.

Dulwich conceded another free kick much closer to goal just two minutes later but this time a wall was put in place and blocked Summerfield's effort.

Preston Edwards then had to save a Mitchell Hancox effort, and Chris Holroyd fired over from a cross, as Macclesfield sensed they could kill off the tie early with another goal. This duly arrived in the 18th minute when Preston Edwards clearance only went as far as Summerfield and he again used the wind to curl an effort over the stranded keeper.

However, rather than kill the tie it spurred Dulwich to dig deep and they responded to these setbacks. Nathan Green fired an effort that was deflected wide after Ashley Carew had played the ball to him on the left.

The corner was floated in and, after the keeper failed to get a oroper conne tion on his punched clearance, the ball fell to Quade Taylor who gleefully thumped it past Flinders in the visitors goal for his first goal for The Hamlet.

From this moment, Dulwich grew in confidence and took the game to the visitors. Gavin Tomlin had an effort deflected wide, Ibra Sekajja had an effort blocked and Flinders had to tip a cross from Green over the bar. However, at half time Dulwich were still behind.

Half Time 1-2

Dulwich opened the second half brightly and, after a couple of early corners, Ashley Carew had an effort saved by Flinders. However, the visitors thought they had added a third when Holroyd converted a Whitaker cross but he was denied by the offside flag.

As the half progressed, Macclesfield became less of an attacking threat and seemed content to protect their lead, whilst this approach encouraged Dulwich to commit more numbers forward.

Sanchez Ming delivered a great cross from the right but there was no Dulwich player in a sufficiently advanced position to score. Matt Drage then headed just wide as Dulwich continued to press to level the score and their equaliser arrived with 3 minutes remaining.

Ibra Sekajja retrieved a mishit clearance from Macclesfield wide on the Dulwich left. The ball was then transferred to Carew who touched to Dumaka. His touch found Erskine who laid it into Carew's path. He then curled a magnificent effort around the keeper's left hand to bring the scores level.

With the match in Injury time, Carew came close to winning it for Dulwich. Receiving the ball over 35 yards out, he tried an audacious long range effort that Flinders just managed to claw over the bar for a corner.

Final Score 2-2
