Dulwich Hamlet 3-0 Chalfont St Peter

Dulwich eased past their Southern League visitors with goals from Shawn McCoulsky & two from Dean McDonald.

With injuries to both Phil Wilson & Oshane Brown The Hamlet wete forced to give a debut to Youth Team keeper Edzin Hoca.

The game was slow to come to life and it took 12 minutes before anything of significance occurred. Then Chalfont keeper Mike McEntegart was forced to tip over a Dean McDonald chip and then Kershaney Samuels shot in quick succession.

Shawn McCoulsky was close to touching home a 14th minute free kick from Ashley Carew and an 18th minute cross from Nyren Clunis.

The first goal arrived in the 23rd minute as Ashley Carew played the ball to Nyren Clunis on the right and his cross was converted at the far post by Shawn McCoulsky.

Dean McDonald & Nyren Clunis both went close to extending the lead before the second goal arrived with four minutes until half time. A Chalfont defender was caught in possession and the ball was played to Xavier Vidal on the right. He delivered a low cross that Dean McDonald swept home without breaking stride.

The second half saw Dulwich continue to have a strong grip on the tie without pressing home their advantage. Hoca was untroubled in the home goal but it took until the 58th minute for the 3rd goal to arrive.

A raking pass out of defence from Kershaney Samuels released Nyren Clunis on the left and he bided his time before finding Dean McDonald in the penalty area. He brought the ball under control with one touch and swept it home with the second.

Nyren Clunis had a goal disallowed for offside after good work from McDonald before Hoca made his first meaningful save from a Lewis Stead volley.

Substitute Ramell Lake almost added a fourth as he turned his marker inside out but his shot was tipped wide by McEntegart.
