Dulwich failed to capitalise on their two goal lead, and had to settle for a point, after conceding a stoppage time penalty gained and converted by the recently departed Roman Michael-Percil.
With Kenny Beaney & Dumebi Dumaka restored to the starting line up after missing Saturday's win at Winchester, there was one more enforced change as Quade Taylor came in for Michael Chambers who was unwell.
The game swung end to end in the early stages with an early cross from Nyren Clunis just evading Dumebi Dumaka, whilst at the other end Roman Michael-Percil was using his pace to disconcert the reorganised Dulwich defence,
Ashley Carew had a free kick tipped over before Dulwich took a 23rd minute lead. Ibra Sekajja pulled the ball back from the left to Dumebi Dumaka whose initial effort struck teammate Vas Karagiannis but he made no mistake when the ball rebounded back to him.
Just two minutes later the lead was doubled. Ashley Carew played a delightful ball out to the left and into the path of the marauding Nathan Green, who advanced into the penalty area before drilling his shot past Baxter in the Met goal.
Green then saw another dangerous cross cut out and Carew had a shot from distance that flew just wide as Dulwich took a grip on the game.
The visitors attacks were now sporadic, although Bartley headed over from a long throw by Robinson. Therefore, it was a surprise when they pulled a goal back in the 39th minute. Michael-Percil got around the left side of the Dulwich defence and Jake Reid was all alone at the far post to sweep the ball home.
Dulwich were quickly back on the attack and, after Nyren Clunis and Vas Karagiannis had linked up on the right, Karagiannis saw his curling effort saved.
Half Time 2-1
The second half was slow to come to life with the only early chance seeing an Ashley Carew free kick blocked after Dumebi Dumaka was brought down.
However, with the Met Police pushing forward at every opportunity, they levelled in the 59th minute as a shot rebounded to Reid who fired home.
The scores remained level for only 2 minutes as Vas Karagiannis received the ball on the right, turned inside and curled a delightful effort over Baxter to put Dulwich back in front,
However, Dulwich couldn't find the next goal that would have assured the win. An Ashley Carew free kick fell to Matt Drage but the ball got caught under his feet and his effort was blocked. Then Vas Karagiannis almost added a replica of his earlier effort but this time Baxter tipped his effort on to the post.
Reid tried to grab an equaliser, and his hat trick, with an audacious long range effort that just cleared the crossbar but other than that Dulwich seemed to be comfortably protecting their lead.
However, in stoppage time, a fine pass out to the right found Michael-Percil who got in front of Nathan Green and then went to ground under a clumsy challenge that saw the referee point to the spot. Michael-Percil thumped home the equaliser off the underside of the bar.
Final Score 3-3
