A top class performance from The Hamlet overwhelmed Kent League leaders Erith Town. and took them through to the 4th Round of the London Senior Cup.

Dulwich opened up brightly against their Kent League opponents and Frankie Sawyer missed a very presentable chance in the first minute of the game. The first half was frustrating as chances came and went at regular intervals, although only a top class save denied the ever busy Erhun Oztumer. However, it wasn't all one way traffic with Phil Wilson making two top saves and an Erith corner nearly saw them take the lead as a header had to be cleared from under the bar.

However, on the stroke of half time a clever pass from Nyren Clunis saw Erhun free in the penalty area and he made no mistake.

The second half was a different story with it generally being played in the Erith Town half. Half time substitute Taylor Thomas (on for Frankie Sawyer) took only 3 minutes to extend the lead as he was set free one on one with the keeper.

Erhun added his second with a shot from outside the area and further goals from Xavier Vidal and Daniel Carr completed the scoreline. Two further shots from Nyren Clunis and Ryan James also rattled the posts as Dulwich assumed total control of the game.

Erith were unable to cope with Erhun Oztumer's movement along the line and dropping deep and there was a very good full debut from Yacine Gnahore in central midfield where his strength and accurate passing stood out.

Despite the scoreline Erith Town played their part in a very entertaining game in which they also produced some good football, particularly in the opening half. They tried all night to pass the ball from the back rather than just looking to stop The Hamlet from playing.
