DULWICH HAMLET ASPIRE KENT YOUTH LEAGUE ROUND UP
Loads of goals for the youngsters this weekend but mixed fortunes for Under 18s & Under 16s
The ASPIRE Academy coached Under 18s continued their poor run of form in all competitions as they lost for the second game in succession, beaten at home by Phoenix Sports by the odd goal in seven. The victory for Phoenix Sports saw them take over top spot in the Kent Youth League North Division whilst Hamlet slipped down to fourth spot, as the challengers to their title swarm around them. Goal scorers at the weekend were Kiki Oshilaja, Axel Garcia and Alton Leeward. The Under 18’s now have the Christmas break before they return to Kent Youth League action on Sunday 8th January 2017 when they travel to Glebe in Chislehurst, kick-off 10.30 am.
Meanwhile the Under 16s continue their winning streak in the Kent Youth League, leaping to the top of the North Division after Sunday’s thrilling 6-4 win away to Whyteleafe. The Under 16s have now won five on the spin and lead the table by three points from Greenwich Borough and Erith & Belvedere. Next up for the youngsters will be a trip to Sporting Club Thamesmead on Sunday 8th January 2017, kicking off at 1.00 pm on the Thamesmead Town 3G pitch.
