Dulwich Hamlet: Foodbank Appeal
We will be holding a food bank collection at Champion Hill this Saturday
Dulwich Hamlet is delighted to announce that we will be collecting for the South London Foodbank Warehouse at our home game against Chelmsford on Saturday 1st February.
The South London Foodbank Warehouse seeks to support the work of 6 local food banks providing storage space to enable them all to better manage donations particularly where storage space is very limited and to help ensure they can continue to provide food to those in crisis in Southwark, Lewisham, Lambeth and Wandsworth.
Working with referral agencies across South London the food banks are helping to ensure people are not going hungry and also providing support and advice to enable them to better manage their current situation.
Donations from Dulwich Hamlet will be shared with all the food banks involved in this project.
In particular, they are currently in need of:
- Tinned meat and vegetarian options
- UHT milk all types
- Tinned custard
- Tinned rice pudding
- Tinned vegetables
- Bars of Soap
They are currently well stocked with baked beans and pasta and do not need any donations of these items.
There will be a donation drop off point, inside the ground, during our home game on Saturday. Thank you in advance for your support.
