Dulwich Hamlet Res 1-1Hayes & Yeading Utd Res (4-5 on penalties)
The Reserves lost a penalty shoot out in the Presidents Cup tie in a game in which they were constantly thwarted by diminutive keeper George Upton.
A strong Hamlet line up, containing Oshane Brown, Jordan Hibbert, Michael Kamara, Dean Lodge, Ashley Carew, Mu Maan & Shawn McCoulsky in the starting line up, had enough chances to have won the game before half time.
Dean Lodge & Shawn McCoulsky missed with free headers inside the 6 yard box whilst visiting keeper George Upton, small of stature but big on ability, threw himself around to keep out numerous efforts that looked certain to end up in the net.
With the first half goalless, it was the visitors who took the lead from the penalty spot when Oshane Brown misjudged a through ball and baulked a visiting forward. The penalty was duly converted.
It took a penalty at the other end to bring Dulwich level, Ashley Carew converting, as Upton continued his one man act of defiance in the face of numerous efforts on his goal.
Full Time 1-1
Straight to penalties, where Mu Maan tried to reprise his chipped penalty that was successful during his previous spell with The Hamlet. However, this time, the keeper didn't move and the ball floated gently into his arms.
The remaining penalties were all successfully converted as the visitors won 5-4.
