Dulwich gave a debut to new signing Ibra Sekajja whilst recalling Ashley Carew and the fit again Nathan Green. Sanchez Ming, who was originally left out of the starting line up, had to step up from the bench when another new signing, Quade Taylor, picked up an injury in the warm up. Michael Chambers, Kevin James & Kadell Daniel dropped to the bench.
The match was a little early in kicking off which meant that Dulwich were behind before 3pm. In only the second minute, a long ball forward was flicked on to Harry Ottaway who beat Preston Edwards low to his left.
Dulwich have become quite accustomed to going behind early and responded well to the set back. Nathan Green was the catalyst for Dulwich's best attacking moves, firing just over after a barnstorming run down the left.
Another Green charge down the left saw him find Sekajja who transferred the ball to Gavin Tomlin whose effort was blocked. However, it was Green who set up the 3wnd minute equaliser. He curled in a so cross tgat asked to be headed home and Daniel Carr duly obliged,
Sekajja had an effort just off target and Gavin Tomlin just failed to find Nyren Clunis running in behind the Enfield defence.
However, Enfield almost levelled on the stroke of half time but Edwards leapt to his right to keep out a ferocious effort.
Half Time 1-1
Dulwich were quickly into their stride at the start of the second half. Sekajja almost found Nyren Clunis with a cross from the left and the former had a scuffed shot saved after an exchange of passes with Tomlin.
The Hamlet went in front just past the hour. Nyren Clunis was tripped just inside the penalty area, although he was actually turning away from goal. Enfield protestations were in vain, as was the work of their full back Perry Kiangebeni in digging up the penalty spot (which was somehow missed by the officials). Despite having to strike the ball from partially below pitch level,
Ashley Carew stroked home the spot kick.
Enfield were the ones now struggling to get any forward momentum but that changed with the introduction of Tyler Campbell. His direct running down the right stopped Nathan Green getting forward as easily and his 70th minute effort brought a fine full length save by Edwards.
The result turned on two decisions in the 81st minute. First Kadell Daniel was sent tumbling in the box, then from the breakaway Enfield were awarded a spot kick for a trip on the edge of the box. Billy Crook converted
Enfield substitute Anthony Mendy had a good chance to put the home side in front in the 83rd minute. He was released behind the Dulwich defence but he failed to get sufficient elevation on his shot to beat the advancing Edwards.
A minute later, a Dulwich corner kick caused a scramble near the line but Campbell blasted clear. Daniel was then crudely brought down by Kiangebeni, who wax booked, but Ashley Carew's free kick was wide.
Campbell had an effort saved low down by Prsston Edwards whilst Nyren Clunis was off target with a volley and had another effort blocked for a corner.
Despite both side's endeavours to secure victory they had to settle for a point each.
