Enjoy the Saturday morning sunshine...
The Dulwich Hamlet Supporters' Team are in action against their counterparts from Maidstone at Belair Park on Saturday-kick off at 10.30am
"The Rabblers", as our team affectionately call themselves, were originally formed in May 1989, for an end of season 'thank you match' against a Club players & staff XI. following on from this a couple of games were played the next year; and matches have continued sporadically ever since.
Nowadays it's about half a dozen or so matches a season, against other fans, where the result comes secondary-as always-to building new friendships & strengthening old ones-and having fun, regardless of our own ability.
Matches are always played with 'rolling subs', and being young with a modicum of skill is secondary to having fun, enjoying wearing the famous Pink & Blue...and being an ambassador for our Club.
We are pleased to take on the Maidstone United fans, as it is the first time we will have faced each other in a supporters match.
If you would like to come along on Saturday it's Belair Park, and the changing rooms and pitches are near the lake, not far from the West Dulwich station entrance.
It's easy to get to Champion Hill afterwards, as the P13 bus goes along Edgar Kail Way, the bus stop being by the park.
So why not come along to watch the match, or better still...get your boots and email co-manager Lester Ford to take part on the pitch. You don't have to have played for us before, just being a fan of The Hamlet is enough! Just drop him a line at:
And don't forget...all are welcome, on our 2015 summer Supporters Team Tour to Hamburg, to play the Altona 93 fans, whether to play or to have a good weekend away. Simply CLICK HERE for more details.
