Exciting Midfielder Joins The Club

Ryley Scott joins the Hamlet from Dagenham & Redbridge

The influx of players this week has continued with the signing of young Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Ryley Scott.

The 21-year-old becomes the first midfielder to sign on for the 2023-24 season, and signs after two seasons at Victoria Road, where he was limited to just six league appearances.

During the 2021-22 campaign, Ryley had two spells on loan with Concord Rangers, and played against the Hamlet in our 2-2 draw in Essex in the spring of 2022, and this season has spent time with Lewes. He has also played in youth teams at West Ham United and Ipswich Town.

"I can't wait to get started," expressed Ryley, "it's a new opportunity and challenge for me and I want to grab the chance with both hands, and help the team return to the National League South."

"The last two years has seen me try and push for a place in the Dagenham side but for whatever reason it was tough in the end, I made a handful of appearances but now is the time to kickstart my career and play as many games as I can, and with the right mentality and attitude, hopefully I will play a lot of games at Dulwich."

"I've spoken to Hak and Terry in the past two years and we have tried to sort deals out in the past, but when they heard I was no longer at Dagenham they got in touch straight away and were so keen to get me on board. Their ambition is what made my mind up and how keen they are to take this club straight back up. I want to play football and win trophies."

"I feel I bring a lot of energy, I'm up and down the pitch, I will be everywhere! I like to pass the ball as much as I can, run forward and get my shots off!"

Hakan added, "Ryley is a fresh face and full of energy, young and enthusiastic and got legs to get about the pitch."

"I think he is a real talent, and be better than what he is currently, and I believe he can excel here, and I think that he will do with the support we’ve got behind him."
