Our FA Youth Cup 3rd Qualifying Round tie away to Canvey Island U18's has been arranged for next Wednesday 23rd October; ko scheduled for 7.45 pm

The young Gulls have battled their way through three rounds of the competition already starting off in the Preliminary Round when a pulsating tie at home to Witham was settled by a 110th minute extra time goal from Sammy Knott after the sides had finished the normal 90 minutes deadlocked at 2-2. It was even tighter next time out as even extra time time could not separate Canvey and their opponents, Barking. The game went to a penalty shootout and once more it was Knott deciding matters as he tucked away the decisive spot kick. No extra time in the last round as Bishop’s Stortford were the victims of the Gulls but barely a cigarette paper between two determined sides as the hosts endured a nervy last few minutes to squeak home 3-2.

The winners of this match will earn a place in the First Round Proper of the competition with the night’s victors earning a home tie against either Brentwood or Potters Bar Town for a chance to progress even further.
