Folkestone game main Ryman One Divisions feature on the 'Non League Paper' today
Our superb victory over Folkestone Invicta took top billing on our divisional pages in the national Sunday paper this morning. Here is what they said:
Dulwich Hamlet 2 Folkestone Invicta 0
TURKISH DELIGHT FOR THE HAMLET
Erhun Öztümer was the star of the show as Dulwich Hamlet inflicted Folkestone Invicta's first league defeat of the season at Champion Hill.
The Hamlet had the better of the first half, creating plenty of chances but failing to capitalise on any of them.
Midfielder Öztümer was a livewire throughout and probably had the best chance of the half, with a deflected shot that looped over on 31 minutes.
Folkestone could have gone into the break thinking they had weathered the storm well as it remained goalless as the two teams left the field.
But Turkish summer signing Öztümer put Dulwich ahead with a curling 30-yard screamer early in the second half.
Away keeper Jack Delo might have done better with the effort but the flight of the ball bamboozled the shot stopper.
It was a deserved goal for both the player and the club who had dominated the game from the outset.
A bad day at the office for Delo was rounded off as he later fouled Nyren Clunis in the box to gift the home side a penalty.
Fittingly Öztümer hammered the spot-kick into the top right corner to calm any nerves and secure a convincing victory over the league leaders.
