The festival is planned and run by local volunteers (with free screenings at local venues) so everyone welcome!
There's a football film night of two halves at Dulwich Hamlet Football Club tonight, where Orient for a Fiver and The Damned United will be screened from 8pm (doors 7pm).
Kick Off 8pm: Orient for a Fiver
Film student Jo Trehearne’s brilliant fly-on-the-wall documentary about East London club Leyton Orient. The 50 minute film follows the club during the disastrous 1994-95 season when they finished bottom of League Division Two. One of the best football documentaries ever.
Half Time 15 minutes
Second Half 9.05pm: The Damned United (15)
Based on David Peace's novel about Brian Clough who in 1974 found himself at the helm of a club he despised. This was Leeds United who in Clough's view under their previous manager Don Revie were a dirty team comprised of professional foulers and divers. Clough is played by Michael Sheen; his assistant Peter Taylor by Timothy Spall.
