Hamlet crash out of FA Trophy
A lacklustre Dulwich can have no complaints about their 3-1 reverse at Romford.
Despite taking the lead with a fine Vernon Francis header Dulwich were deservedly beaten by a determined Romford side.
With a number of players rested and a change in formation Dulwich would still have expected to gain a place in the next round.
It all got off to a good start as The Hamlet took the lead but never really looked convincing and despite a fine penalty save from keeper Paul Idem an innocuous punt down the field close to half time embarrassed the keeper and lead to Romford's equaliser.
Two further second half goals saw Hamlet crash out at the first hurdle despite Romford eventually picking up a sending off for a second bookable offence near the end.
A full report from the Primary Webmaster, Paul Griffin, will follow.
